Soulful Newsletter January 6th

Welcome to 2022! I love the fresh start of new years, the clean pages of a calendar and the time to contemplate. What will I bring with me as I start anew? What do I chose to leave behind and what new uncharted version of myself would I like to explore? Soulful Prairies is excited to be offering some of the old and some of the new. We will be bringing you Soulful news on the 6th this winter, spring, summer and fall with brief updates during the in-between months. This season, we were 6 days late... but hey, 6+6 is 12 so we aren't too far off!

We continue to hope that Soulful Prairies creates the space for people to grow through connection with one another, the horses and other critters, nature and themselves.

Here are some of my Soulful highlights from 2021:

Through the Eyes of an Equine Gestalt

As I follow my path as an Equine Gestaltist, I feel the draw to continue to learn about myself and share the work with others. What is the work? Allowing ourself the space and guidance to heal the unfinished areas within that cause us to get stuck in old patterns and feel depleted.

I am honored to be able to hold space for people to practice the experiential nature of Equine Gestalt and to find their way back to themselves. We make choices on a daily basis to continue as we are or find new ways of being in the world, bringing our inner rhythm and authenticity to the forefront.

I am always happy to talk on the phone if you are interested in learning more about private sessions, couple's sessions or groups. I also work with corporate teams, not for profit teams and customize small group retreat experiences.

Equine Gestalt Training

I am back in another two year Equine Gestalt training and so excited to be stretching, learning and growing. My trainings take place in Elizabeth, Colorado. My mentor hosts trainings at Soulful Prairies so we are on this sweet little sign that resides 1,007 miles away on her farm.

Bugg Was in a Commercial

Bugg was meant to be a star. He was chosen by the filming crew because of his great coloring (what, you don't want a brown horse?) As you can see there were cameras, lights, screens, cords, and a bunch of people with zero horse experience. He stepped up, looked at me and said, "I got this" and he did.

Tell me Your Story Retreat ~ Early Bird Sale

We are excited to be offering this retreat in the spring. Risa, a colleague and friend of mine, is coming from Colorado to co-facilitate with me. This is an opportunity to learn more about yourself through your story. You will be supported in this process by Risa, myself, the horses and Gestalt experiences.

Wild Horse Sanctuary

I was honored to be a part of a Natural Lifemanship training at the Wild Horse Sanctuary in Shingletown, California this past fall. A time to dance with my own energy and feel the spaces between the spaces. These magnificent beings are teachers of patience, honesty and the deep awareness of ourselves that we must hold within if we desire relationship and connection.

A Changing of the Guard ~ Soulful Farm Evolves into Sunfleck Farm at Soulful Prairies

This year, Claire Hodge will be taking over what was previously known as Soulful Farm, now Sunfleck Farm at Soulful Prairies. We are excited to continue our support of the local food system and young farmers.

Our main season will run June-October. We’ll still host Farmstand Fridays from 3 - 6 p.m.
